So it’s Tuesday, and since I have recently
finished the biography ‘Is It Just Me’ by Miranda Hart, I thought I would do a
review on the book and whether it’s a good read. So here we go chums...
Miranda Hart
is an English comedian and actress, she has her own sitcom and as she reveals
in her book, many of the incidents that occur in the show have happened in her
own personal life. I feel that this makes it more relatable to the reader.
The
biography follows Hart telling her 18 year old self about her life at the
moment and trying to let her down gently, as many of the things ‘Little Miranda’
dreams of doing and becoming, ‘Big Miranda’ now finds these ridiculous. Hart
also refers to you as her ‘My Dear Reader Chum’ which makes you feel as though
you are living through her life and her teenage self.

Each chapter
is named different events such as ‘Dating’ and ‘Work.’ This explains certain
situations in her life and also having to break it to teenage Miranda that her dreams of
being a politician, is very far-fetched and her hidden dream of being a
comedian is much more realistic and of course, has come true!
This is such
a great read and gives you a different side of Hart and some things you don’t
expect and other things you definitely do.
I would recommend this book to ages 15+, and think that is would appeal
more to women than men.
I would love
to know if you have read this book and what you opinion of it is. You can tweet
me or leave a comment!
