Makeup Bag Essentials '14

Heya, so I know there is a 'What's in My Bag' tag that goes around YouTube, but I thought to make it more blog friendly, I thought I would about what is in my makeup bag, and perhaps do a 'What's in my Bag/School Bag' at a later date.

 Mirror
This for me is essential, and I am always being asked if I have a mirror, and always just find it handy to carry with me.

QVS Powder Brush
I always find that I need to powder my face halfway through the school day as my makeup comes off. I do find this brush quite coarse and am looking into buying a different one to replace it,but it does a good job of  distributing the powder onto my skin.

Powder- Rimmel Stay Matte: Warm Beige
I find this to be the best powder to set my foundation concealer and makes my face look the most matte and non shiny. It is also really affordable and comes in a variety of colours. As you can see mine is looking a bit worse for wear, the label has rubbed off and it has hit pan.

Apple Chapstick
This for me is the most vital thing in my bag, as I get really bad dry lips and this really helps them out.  It also smells and tastes amazing! Haha, Any type of lip balm works just as well for me but this is the one I am liking the most at the moment.

Concealer- 17 Hide Away.
I always like to carry my concealer as I have blemishes and red areas around my nose, and this tends to come away during the day so I like to re apply it. I bought this after I lost my Collection concealer and I doesn't work as well and has almost gone.

Deodorant- Dove Go Fresh Pomegranate and Lemon
This is another essential for me, and I think it is pretty self explanatory what deodorant is used for!

Hand Sanitizer
Finally this is always a must have, because you never know when you are going to need sanitizer and is super handy when on the go or at college.

Beauty Favourites

Toni & Guy Casual Sea Salt and Texturing Spray
So I had seen a lot of people using sea salt spray over the last couple of months and thought that it looked really nice and thought I would give it a go. I have naturally highlighted hair and have also died it (semi-permanent,) which has made it a lot more blonde and lightly ginger at the front, which I really like. It is also naturally sort off wavy and wanted to enhance this. This is pretty much my go to product for everyday as it is so easy! Only a few sprays and scrunches are needed and it creates a really lovely wave in my hair, which stays for most of the day. I purchased this from Boots for around £3. The link is for the 200ml, but the one I purchased is 75 ml.

Barry M Nail Polish in Diamond Glitter
I have been using this nail polish a lot this month, and layering it on top of lots of my nail varnishes. I think it looks a lot more festive and also can be used to make an accent nail which adds an interesting feature to one of my plain looks. It dries really quickly and only two coats are needed for a full coverage on the nails. I purchased this from Superdrug for £2.99

Miss Sporty Nail Polish

I bought this nail varnish ages ago, and wear it mostly on my toes all year round. I have been wearing it lots throughout this month and also with the diamond glitter overlaid. It dries super quickly and only two coats are needed for a full coverage. I cannot find this on the Boots website. But I purchased this for £1.99

Natural Collection Lash Length Mascara in Black
I used to use mascara all the time and was a staple part in my makeup routine, but once I run out of it I just forget to repurchase it. But I decided to get back into using it and decided this looked good. It gives my lashes lots of length and also volume and just makes my eyes look bigger and finished. I will definitely repurchase this mascara, (if I remember!)  I purchased this from Boots for £1.99

My New Posting Schedule

Heya, so Christmas and the holidays are over and this means that school/college has started and obviously with this comes more homework and commitments. Now, I know that last time I created a schedule I think it possibly lasted for 2 weeks, but this time it will! Have faith in me! So the days I will be posting are Tuesday's and Sundays. They won't be specific ones, but I am planning on doing my 'Overview of the Week' posts, which will be on Sunday's, and also my 'Outfits of the Week, as well. So hopefully I can stick to this, but it may change if I am busy a night, the post will be made up for.

My 2013 Memories

So at the beginning of the 2013, I saw lots of people were talking about doing a 'memory jar,' mainly on Twitter, which involves writing down any significant or specific memories that happen throughout the year and put them into a jar and not reading them until the 31st of December of that year. So I decided to take on the challenge, not thinking I would keep it up as I am really forgetful and thought I would probably lose the jar or something! But here we are at the beginning of a new year and I actually had many of my memories  from last year written down. Hooray :)

So for my 2013 memories I used this box, I think it was possibly from The Works and came in a set with 3 others .

"You started a blog"- This is possibly my favourite ;)

"You made a Youtube  video and uploaded it" (It was awful!)

"On 5th March 2013, you got Olly Murs to touch his toes at Brighton"... with the help of my best chummie Ellie :)

"You had a normal conversation with a boy"
This one made me laugh :) Because I went to an all girls   high school, I am  just shy around ALL boys my age so having even a conversation is an achievement haha:)
So this is my 'jar' (glass) for this year.
Bring on 2014!
