A Christmas/ New Year's Party Outfit Idea

Heya, so I don't usually do fashion ideas/posts on my blog, but I thought as Christmas is only 4 days away and new year’s only 10 days away, I thought that I would put together a simple yet sophisticated outfit that I feel would be suitable for either. Enjoy!
Stevie xox

1: New Look Pencil Dress-£22.99 Link
I feel this dress is very demure, but still shows of your figure. It is off the shoulder which also adds more detail rather than your average LBD. It also comes to your knees, so if you are not comfortable with your thighs it cover them, but isn't too long to make you look shorter. For the price I feel this is amazing and a piece you can style for lots of different events or situations

2: Miss Selfridge Floral Jacket-£35.00 Link
I love this jacket; I feel that it adds a bit of colour to a monochrome outfit. It is fitted and I feel that having a bulky jacket would make the dress look a little less flattering. Having the black floral also incorporates the monochrome but making it more eye catching having it on the mustard background. At £35, it could be considered pricey, but for a key piece that could be used for other monochrome styles outfits, I feel it is a reasonable price.

3: River Island Platform Heels- £50- Link
At £50, you could consider these shoes to be very expensive, but I feel because they are very classic and neutral they can be worn with pretty much everything. Again they co-operate with the monochrome outfit and make the outfit a lot sleeker with having the slim heel.

4: H&M Clutch Bag- £12.99- Link
I feel that this clutch is perfect for an event or party as it has the long strap, so you can be hands free. It also folds up to allow you take as much as you want. For £13 I feel that again this is a piece that is timeless and can be worn in several ways.

Winter Fashion Wishlist '14

Heya, so today I am showing you a few fashion pieces that I have recently found and am most likely going to purchase in the coming days or weeks. They are also all sale items, which I thought would appeal to more people as it is around this time of the year and particularity nearer to Christmas that the purse is feeling a little lighter after buying Christmas presents, as I know mine definitely is! However it is very important to treat yourself as well as others at this time of the year, so here is a slightly more affordable way to do this. (Or maybe it is just me being a bargain hunter!) Enjoy!

Review: Rimmel Lasting Finish 25hr Nude Foundation

Heya, so I missed last Sunday's post so hopefully I will be able to get one up on Monday (My birthday!) of my birthday meal outfit. So here is the one wanted to get up last week!

Now that rambly mess is over, this is going to be a review of my current foundation that I am loving! Enjoy!

Rimmel Rimmel Lasting Finish 25hr Nude Foundation.
Price- £7.99

Availability- Boots and Superdrug.

So the foundation itself comes in a glass bottle with a pump, which makes everything simpler! It comes in 6 different shades and  I am in the lightest shade, and I find this a pretty good match, if  too light. I find it really hard to find a really good nude foundation as many in the bottles look nude and then bring them home and they are orange and however much money down the drain, but this is surprisingly great.
I find that the coverage is really good, but as I have quite red skin I use two layers, I find that even having the two layers it doesn't look cakey and lasts all day with only a little powder one through my college day. I find that using a sponge works best for this as it is quite and thick consistency (well compared to my L'Oreal True Match Foundation,) and then blending out more with my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush.

I think this foundation is great, I would say more suited to oily skin as it can be slightly drying when setting over the top with a powder as the consistency is thick. I think the coverage is really evens and I definitely notice, when I use the foundation,  that my skin looks even. It gives a matte look, so maybe avoid if you prefer a dewier foundation.

Review: L'Oreal Super Liner:So Couture Eyeliner

Heya! So it has been ages since I have done a product review (over a year!) So I thought today I would do one of my favourite makeup items at the moment: eyeliner! I will go through the consistency, wear and tear and pricing. So enjoy!

Stevie xox

Instagram               Twitter                           Youtube                             Bloglovin'

 L'Oreal Super Liner: So Couture.
(I cannot find this on the Boots or Superdrug website, so you may just have to visit your local store, I received this for free when spending over £10 on L'Oreal products a few months back.)

So this eyeliner is honestly great! In a  nutshell. I never used to wear eyeliner on an everyday basis as I found it so hard to apply and would end up smudging it or taking forever to get one eye right and then the other would look completely different! But know I wear it practically everyday (apart from at the placements, do children care if you are wearing makeup or not, haha nope!)

This one shows you how small the eyeliner actually is and how thin. It is about the same size as a biro. This enables you to be really precise and create a small or large line and also if you like the 'cat eye' or 'flicks' you can be really accurate here too.

Now obviously the star of the show is the nib. It is very slim and bendy but not too much that it becomes messy. For me, as I only do wings on my eyes and not a full line across my eye, I can be really precise with the wing and make both of them equal as you can choose how much to add to make them equal, whereas I find with a lot of eyeliners the nibs are very thick and it is hard to make both eyes equal.

This shows you how thick you can make the lines and the colour pay of. Obviously on the eye it transfers a lot more black. The consistency is less liquid-y (no sense!) then most eyeliners i have used, which makes it very easy to apply. I also set this on top with an eye shadow as I find this makes it last a how lot longer, and the first time I wore this I ended it smudging it across my face! My own fault!

Beauty Wishlist- August '14

Heya, so today I am going to do a post that I have wanted to do for ages, but didn't really know how to present it, but I thought may as well go for it! So I have been considering changing a few of  the products I use currently as I feel I can purchase ones that may be better quality and be possibly more budget friendly. So I have been visiting the Boots website and also my nearest store, quite frequently for a few weeks and have drawn up a list of 5 products I am considering buying by being influenced by reviews and also recommendations. So after a rather lengthy introduction, here's the blog post...

Decoupaged Diary

Hey, so I thought I would do a blog post on a sunny and boring afternoon, in which I thought I would get a little creative (art wise.) I really disliked Art at high school such as drawing and painting but last year my mum decoupaged our side table and I thought I would have a go myself! So here we go...

Stevie xox

So this was the original front cover of my diary. I purchased this from Pound land and it also was available in a bright pink. I felt that visually it was basic and quite plain originally but of course practical.

My Nan originally owned these music sheets but no longer played them so gave them to my mum and I was able to pick out the pieces I wanted to use for my diary.

Of course an artistic shot of the glue I used! Oh dear...

Front cover completed

The set up: Glee and Decoupaging.

It's finished!

13 Questions Tag

Hello! So the idea for this post comes from Sophie from IyaaSophie as I have seriously gotten into her videos and think she is great, she also has an Instagram account called sophiesfitness. Anyway she did this tag and I wanted to make it more blog friendly. So here we go...
Stevie xox

Q1) What do you order in Starbucks?
A2) I have seriously not been to Starbucks in months and now really crave it, I usually order a Chocolate Cream Frappacino or regular hot chocolate.

Q2) What is one thing in your closet that you cannot live without?
A2) Well there isn't one thing in particular, but I do live in black leggings, in fact I am wearing them now. I seem to just find they go with everything and they are so comfy!

Q3) What is one thing that most people wouldn't know about you?
A3) This is embarrassing but, when I was around 9 or 10 me and my cousins decided to create our own version of 'Britain's Got Talent' called 'Kids Got Talent.' And we recorded it all, and still have it, that is never seeing the light of day!

Q4) Name one thing you want to do before you die
A4) Have children.

Q5) Name one food you cannot live without
A5) Definitely chicken! Just love

Q6) What quote do you live your life by?
A7) I have mentioned this in my TMI post, but I have two 'Build your own dreams, otherwise someone else will  hire you to build theirs' and 'As one door closes another one opens.'

Q7) What do you like/dislike about the Blogging community?
A8) I love that each blog is individual yet they all entertain and intrigue me. I dislike that there are a lot of amazing blogs that go unnoticed.

Q8) What is your number one most listened to song on you ITunes?
A8) As of today, 'Happily'- One Direction.

Q9) What style would you say you have?
A9) I would say a complete mixture!

Q10) Favourite Number?
A10) 27, because when I was 7, my youngest brother was 2 and thought 27!

Q11) Two hobbies?
A11) Blogging and being a Young Leader at a Brownies pack.

Q12) Two pet peeves?
A12) When their isn't a hand towel  in the bathroom and people who smack their lips when they eat their food.

Q13) Guilty pleasures?
A13)  The Jeremy Kyle Show.

So I thought let's do it! So here is my version of the TMI tag...
