A Week In My Life:19th-25th

Hello, so this is up a little late but as I was at my Nan's over the weekend, I wasn't able to upload. But I am back! So today is a overview of last week. I am really enjoying writing these posts and I hope you are enjoying reading them :)My week hasn't been the mot interesting but there was one obvious and significant day. But enough rambling, let's get onto the point of the post... Stevie xox

Monday 19th-  So Monday was early start, late finish as I was volunteering at a local rest-bite club for children with disabilities and their siblings, (I won't say the name of the club for safety reasons.) This was from 8:30 am- 5ish. It is a very long and tiring day but well worth it and the whole day is so fun!

Tuesday 20th-  I also went to the club on Tuesday and it was pretty much the same!

Wednesday 21st- On Wednesday, I had a bit of a lazy day, did some organizing and sorting and mostly worrying about the next day! I then went to babysitting till around
8ish

Thursday 22nd-  The day had arrived! This was possibly one of the most important day's of my life and also one of the most nerve racking. The only thing I will say about my results is that I am very happy with them and afterwards to celebrate me and a few friends went to Nandos.

Friday 23rd-  So on Friday I was supposed to be going to Starbucks with a friend but we mixed up the times we were meeting so this has been rescheduled, but on the way to Starbucks I popped into Superdrug to pick up a few necessities.

Saturday 24th-  On Saturday, I went shopping with a few friends as they needed a few bits for school. We went into Primark and felt I was very well restrained considering there was new stock, but I only bought the basics. Pat on the back ;) In the evening, my mum,dad brothers and I slept over my Nan's.

Sunday 25th-  Yesterday, we spent the whole day at my Nan's and didn't do to much, my mum, Nan and I played Rummikub and I have really gotten into reading again. I bought 'Safe Haven' a couple of months ago and haven't started reading it till about a week ago, but I am really enjoying it! (Expect a book review comming up!)

So that was pretty much my week :) I hope you enjoyed this and let me know if you would like me to do more of these types of posts :)

Book Review- Is It Just Me

So it’s Tuesday, and since I have recently finished the biography ‘Is It Just Me’ by Miranda Hart, I thought I would do a review on the book and whether it’s a good read. So here we go chums...

Miranda Hart is an English comedian and actress, she has her own sitcom and as she reveals in her book, many of the incidents that occur in the show have happened in her own personal life. I feel that this makes it more relatable  to the reader.

The biography follows Hart telling her 18 year old self about her life at the moment and trying to let her down gently, as many of the things ‘Little Miranda’ dreams of doing and becoming, ‘Big Miranda’ now finds these ridiculous. Hart also refers to you as her ‘My Dear Reader Chum’ which makes you feel as though you are living through her life and her teenage self.

Each chapter is named different events such as ‘Dating’ and ‘Work.’ This explains certain situations in her life and also having to break it to teenage Miranda that her dreams of being a politician, is very far-fetched and her hidden dream of being a comedian is much more realistic and of course, has come true!

This is such a great read and gives you a different side of Hart and some things you don’t expect and other things you definitely do.  I would recommend this book to ages 15+, and think that is would appeal more to women than men.

I would love to know if you have read this book and what you opinion of it is. You can tweet me or leave a comment!

A Week in My Life: 12-18th August

Heya, So so so sorry this is up really late, but anyway it is up! So this is my first post of this series and hopefully you will enjoy them. Stevie xox

P.S- Some days will be mega boring but I guess that just shows you how normal I am!

Monday 12th- On Monday I got ready to pack to go to my Grandad's and also braced myself for a 4 hour long car journey! Also on the way their we stopped of at a Carvery Restaurant, which was delish!

Tuesday 13th- So on Tuesday we had to get up pretty early in order to get to ALTON TOWERS!!! This was my first time going there and also our first time going to a theme park as a family so I was super exited. The ride I was most exited to go on was of course 'The Smiler' and I am pleased to say it didn't disappoint. I would definalty recommend if you like loops and surprises. The last ride of the day we all went on was 'Thirteen' and I won't give away the big shock and scream moment, but I think I can safely say I pretty much deafened everyone on the ride while it happened! After we left Alton Towers we went back to my Granddads and I was pretty exhausted after the whole day!

Wednesday 14th- This was the last full day we spent at my Granddads and we decided to go into town and do a bit of shopping as there was a few basics I needed to get for college and of course  I spent way to much money! Afterwards we went to the local supermarket and bought lunch and drove down to a local nature reserve and and ate it there and had a wonder around...

Saturday 17th- Yesterday I was suppost to be going to lunch with an old friend but she unfortunately couldn't make it so I ended up doing nothing!

Sunday 18th- Today the family and I went for a walk to a local windmill. After this we came home and I have been watching daytime television all day! (I know, so lazy!!)

Nail Polish Haul

Heyaaa! So it has been a little while, but here I am keeping my promise. So today's 'anything' post is a haul. So about a week ago I went shopping with my friend and we decided to pop into Superdrug. Now I don't usually shop in Superdrug and much prefer the Boots as the nearest Superdrug to me is always busy and isn't very big, but I actually found some lovely nail polishes that I am going to share with you now... Stevie xox

MUA- Bold Blue- I have had my eye on this nail varnish for ages and spotted it and just had to buy it. It is a duck-egg blue and to get a full coverage 2-3 coats is needed. I would definitely  recommend this nail varnish. I purchased this for £1

Miss Sporty- Silk Base and Top Coat- As I am experimenting with lots of different nail polishes recently I thought I would invest in a base coat to keep my nails from getting too damaged, I haven't been using it for too long but I have noticed it makes my nail colour a lot more glossy and last longer. I purchased this for around £2

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine- Mango- I have also been eyeing up this nail polish ever since I bought 'Watermelon' which is also one of the Gelly Hi Shine polishes, the quality and shine of these are great and I wanted a bright colour for summer as I wear a lot of basic clothing and colours so I thought this would add a bit of colour to one of my outfits. I would also recommend this as well. I purchased both 'Mango' and 'Greenberry' on a 2 for £6 deal and usually retail individually for £3.99

MUA-1D's 'Little Things' Collection- Fuchsia Frenzy (Harry Nail Polish)- When I  found out  that MUA had brought out a collection of One Direction nail polishes I had to have a look and really liked the 'Harry' polish,  and as you can see it is a bright pink. It is a  different formula to the regular MUA nail polishes, which I found odd and needs 2-3 coats as well to get a solid colour. I would definitely recommend checking out the collection. I purchased this for £2.99

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine- Greenberry- I think this may be my new favourite nail varnish, the colour is absolutely gorgeous and is a dark mint colour (if that makes any sense!) Two coats are needed to get a good coverage and it does take a little while to dry but lasts for a good 4-5 days. I would really recommend checking out these collection of polishes from Barry M. I purchased both 'Mango' and 'Greenberry'  on a 2 for £6 deal and usually retail individually for £3.99.

The New Schedule!!

Helloo!! So as I have a very unorganized life, I thought to give myself and you lovely readers a bit more of structure within my blog I would make set days when to upload. So here you are...  Stevie xox

·        Tuesday- Anything!- This could be something significant in my life or something very small that I just want to share, for instance an special event or just a nail polish review! Or a request from you!

·        Saturday- An outfit of the day- It may not be from Saturday specifically but from another day

·        Sunday- Overview of the week-This will tell you the ups and downs of my week and what my new college days will be like!

So there you go! Just another quick note, I am going away to my Granddad’s until the 15th so I won't be posting this Tuesday, but to make up for this I will be uploading an 'Anything' post on the Friday instead.

Please Note- This may change as my work load for college is expected to be a lot, so if I don't post 3 times a week please be aware that I am more than likely doing work. Thanks xx
